| I love working with fresh water pearls and I get inspired from the ocean! |

I have always been inspired by the sounds of the ocean and because of my love for water, I especially enjoy creating designs from fresh water pearls. This necklace was created from fresh water pearls and yellow quartz crystals. I suppose you could say this is one of my favorite pieces because yellow is and has always been one of my favorite colors! My mom told me that my very first word I spoke was "amarillo" which means yellow in spanish, and apparently this color still has significant meaning for me. Yellow signifies happiness and "light" and I love the color in my jewelry and my wardrobe. I designed the clasp in fine silver or precious metal clay, and hand-crafted the detail for hours so the artistry is present on both sides of the pendant.
It is believed that fresh water pearls signify wisdom, honesty, purity and grace. Some believe that pearls provide a mirror in which to see ourselves, as well as allow us to see how others see us. Whatever pearls may signify for you individually, they are created to make you look and feel beautiful.
